I am excited to stage manage the upcoming weeklong workshop of Mathilda and the Orange Balloon with New Victory LabWorks. Directed by Alexandria Wailes (for colored girls...), the workshop will focus on integrating American Sign Language and English to make a piece of children's theatre that is fully accessible to both hearing and deaf audiences.
The show has already had success in England (incorporating British Sign Language), and creator Jess Kaufman (a 2019-2020 LabWorks Artist) is excited to bring the story to the U.S.
